Malaysia Help Numbers
A quick reference of emergency lines, agency hotlines, and where to go for help — organised by urgency.
Rujukan pantas talian kecemasan, talian agensi, dan ke mana untuk mendapatkan bantuan — disusun mengikut tahap kecemasan.
紧急电话、机构热线、求助渠道的快速参考——按紧急程度分类。
Before you rely on this: Community-compiled reference, not an official publication of any agency. Numbers were correct on each agency's own website at the date of issue, but agencies change details without warning. For numbers you actually rely on, save them directly to your phone from the agency's own website.
If a number doesn't connect in a real emergency, call 999 — operators will route you to the right service.
What's in it
Four tiers of contacts, each with what to expect when you call, what to have ready, and any catch:
- Life-threatening — 999, 112, cardiac (IJN), hospital A&E direct lines, active bank fraud
- Urgent — poison, snakebite, gas leak, mental health crisis, domestic violence, missing child, highway breakdown, cyber incident
- Important (office hours) — banking disputes, consumer complaints, employment issues, drug treatment, blood donation
- Public services & complaints — traffic, corruption, education, tax, environment, animal welfare, human rights
- Visitor section — tourist police, lost passport, OSCC sexual assault response, English-language mental health support
Every number is tagged with cost (free / local-rate / normal-rate / SMS-rate) and is tap-to-call on a phone.

What it is, what it isn't
- Compiled with AI assistance from public agency sources (each agency's own website)
- Every number verified against the agency's own site at the date of issue
- Not an official publication of any agency
- Not affiliated with the Government of Malaysia or any listed organisation
- No guarantee of accuracy or fitness for purpose — verify against the agency's own site before relying on any specific detail
- Hotlines change — if a number doesn't connect in a real emergency, call 999 and the operators will route you
Reporting errors
If you spot an outdated number or other error, please open an issue on GitHub with which file, which page, and what's wrong. Confirmed errors will be fixed in the next version.
